Well, I thought a miracle had happened, turns out my scale was a little broke. Fixed it now. Down to 210, so 15 pounds in 11 days, not bad. I'm going to keep on working hard, biking to work, making lumber, and eating right.
Breakfast and Lunch were the usual, Dinner, who knows... Might eat with my mom tonight after helping my sister move.

212 this morning. I've been staying true to my diet and it appears to be working. Another two weeks and I should be able to level off into a healthy eating lifestyle.
Breakfast 2 eggs 1oz oatmeal Coffee Lunch 12 oz okra creole 6 oz chicken Dinner 6 oz chicken 6 oz salad and cabbage 6 oz lentil stew Saturday!
I woke up naturally and then stayed in bed for a few. As all saturdays should be! I weighed 214 this morning, so 2 more pounds down! 11 total so far in a week! 29 more to go, at about a pound a day I should be there in a month. The sad thing is I keep telling myself that when I get there I will pig out or something. That can put 10 pounds back on me really quick, like in a night. My body is pretty crazy. The really sad thing is that the difference between losing a pound a day, and maintaining my weight is just a mild increase in calories. Like going from 6 oz of meat to 8 and adding a few fruits in at morning and evening meals. A pound of weight is about 3500 calories. So each day I lose 1 pound I am shorting myself that many calories. If I eat 1500 calories a day, which is about what I'm doing right now, then I am burning that plus 3500 which means I burn about 5000 calories on a normal day. I'm a big active guy, but god that seems crazy. I can't wait to start lifting weights again too. I'm gonna go light this time Breakfast 2 eggs 1 oz oatmeal 1 black coffee Lunch 6 oz chicken 12 oz mixed veggies Dinner ? I woke up to the sound of rain, so no bike ride this morning. I weighed 216. So the weight loss has gone 3, 3, 2, 1. Thats fine though. Truth be told you are supposed to only lose a pound a week, but that would take me all year, so I'm getting on it. I feel a bit light headed when I stand up sometimes now though....
Breakfast 2 eggs 1 oz oatmeal 1 cup black coffee Lunch 6 oz chicken 12 oz okra creole Dinner 6 oz seafood medley pulled out from a gumbo 6 oz salad 6 oz mixed veggies 219 to start the day, another 3 pounds down!
I woke up a bit late, and I felt a touch lazy. I really wanted to ride my bike to work, but it got late and I drove on in. Tomorrow.... For breakfast I ate 2 eggs 1 oz oatmeal 1 cup coffee Lunch 6 oz chicken 12 oz okra tomato creole A coworker asked about this site at work today, so if you are reading this, Hi! and good luck! Dinner 6 oz pickle chicken 6 oz salad 6 oz green beans For exercise I worked some more in the yard. I cut down two rather large trees and saw a family of flying squirrels. It was awesome. I celebrated with a fire and a beer. I got to teach my stepdaughter how to make a proper fire and how to fell a tree. Tomorrow I will wake up early, ride my bike and eat right. Woke up to 222. 3 pounds down already! That's not much though. I tend to lose and gain about 10 pounds a day depending on the time. Breakfast 2 eggs 1 oz oatmeal Coffee black Lunch 6 oz chicken 12 oz okra and tomato creole I ate a small cookie without thinking. Habit is a son of a gun. Good habits take over eventually Dinner was seasoned chicken breast 6 oz broccoli 8 oz salad 4oz 1 oz dressing I did pretty well today, felt good, made it through without going crazy or getting to hungry. For exercise I worked in the yard, cutting down trees, chopping the tree up and putting it into a pile. The logs weigh about 150-200 pounds, so its a workout. I rewarded myself with a beer and a nice cozy fire. Another year has passed.... This past year I started living a "normal" life with a normal diet. I still ate healthy food but I'd splurge on occasion. Due to the holidays and a death in the family I started over eating again. Well this new years I find myself back up to 225. At my lowest I was 175. This time my goal is to hit 185 (40 pound loss) in about 2 months. I'll be using the techniques that worked last time again. I'll weigh and measure my food and exercise as much as I can.
1/3/2016 Breakfast 2 eggs 1 oz oatmeal 2 cups of coffee Lunch 6 oz shredded pork 10 oz broccoli 2 oz lentils Dinner 6 oz chicken breast 10 oz broccoli 2 oz salad 1 beer, Colorado IPA Exercise: Worked in the yard from 2 PM til 6 PM. Went to Home Depot, purchased 40 cinder blocks, built a fire wall with them at home. Sawed down a tree and sawed it into manageable chunks, cleaned up the yard. Built a fire and watched it with the family. The real challenge today was organizing dinner. My wife's mother cooks for us often, and had planned on a dish with flour and mixed items. She pulled through and made us a meal that met all my crazy needs. Go Oma! I also absent minded ate an altoid, I spit it out. I also licked a spoon covered in sauce. It was delicious, but I must be strong. Tomorrow I plan on eating my normal breakfast and lunch and I'll be prepared for dinner |
